A woven textile sculpture by Iphigenia Papageorgiou.
The installation explores themes of connection, care, and community through the language of weaving and textile. Inspired by traditional craft techniques and collective human gestures, the kiosk stand is transformed into a woven sculptural piece that visually reflects the idea of people coming together for a shared purpose. Through layered fabrics, woven textures, and symbolic imagery such as hands and flowers, the work represents support, offering, growth, and human connection. The repetition of woven elements echoes the small acts of kindness and contribution that slowly build stronger communities over time. The piece draws from the idea of threads as symbols of invisible connections between people, linking individuals through volunteering, charity, and collective care. By combining contemporary installation with traditional textile practices, the work creates a warm and approachable visual presence within the public space.
